Group of Misfits Band Together and Create a Dominant Trio

Bubba MerzJim CurusoMalo Kuka
(April 2006):
When returning Lawmen player Number 8 MLB Bubba Merz brought his High School teammate Number 13 Jim Curuso to observe a Rattlers practice with thoughts of potentially joining the team, the two were quickly discouraged when the Rattlers management couldn't make time to talk to Curuso much less offer a tryout to him but had room for Merz the former All League GSAFL player. The two decided to join the 2006 Lawmen and joining them in the concern over the current Rattlers administration was former Rattler DL player Malo Kuka. The three Santa Rosa natives wanted to win a championship and sought the best possible team that could bring this wish into a reality. Since Bubba Merz had already won a championship and state title in 2002 with the NorCal Lawmen he lead the trio down to DVC and the home of the 4-0 division leading Lawmen.

The trio entered camp late but made an immediate impact and the initial site of Bubba made Lawmen GM Brad Newnham scream "He's Back, Game Day!" The trio combined together to make numerous tackles and sacks in the Lawmen pre-season win against the Northern Valley Lions. Since they have moved into the starting defensive rotation and have happily found a home. This inside tandam is a major component that all oposing offensive coaches must game plan for. The Lawmen staff are glad to create game plans with them wearing the Lawmen Silver and Black. After 4 games the Lawmen defense has allowed less than -100 yards rushing (yes that's Negative 100) and only 6 points, thanks in part to these guys. Yes, they are moving teams backwards.
